Good morning Peeps!

5:00am:  30 min run w/ 1 min interval repeats thrown in the middle

5:30am:  Insanity Pure Cardio

@7:00am:  heading out on the mountain bike chasing my CC runners.  Had 10 boys show up yesterday! We look like quite the pack--10 tall gangly boys and me, 5 foot nothin',chasing them on the bike and then leading them through all sorts of core strengthening exercises.

Have a great day!

Probably one more lazy day for me. Not nearly as sore today but the thought of running or riding a bike is not appealing. Might go for a walk, and swim tomorrow. Plus get unpacked and deal with laundry and dirty bike, and work on RR. I have an Oly (local race) in two weeks, so need to get this recovery thing right!

5:15am power spin class. 6x:30 and 6 x 1:00 all out sprints with recovery in between. Doesn't seem like much, but if done correctly you are at failure at the end of each interval and it gets you the last few repeats!

7am - 30 min easy run

9am - 2500 swim

Have a great day!

Okay, it has been about a million years since I posted on the dailies thread. BT seems quiet since the last time I played here!

Anyway, today was 1400 in the pool. My longest swim in at least five years.

I just joined a youth tri group that works out 5 times a week. Tonight will be my first time training with them, so it'll be cool to see what they do. Tonight is a run and swim night. If I do well I'll make the junior elite team, which would be amazing.

That should be awesome! I was on a junior elite type team for cross country and track from age 13 to 16, and training with them and traveling to meets around the country was really a highlight of those years for me.

Sports massage for me.
I know it's not running, cycling, or swimming - but has been part of my schedule since I started cycling 3 years ago.
It's become even more important since January when my tri training started, an the intensity and volume increased. Not only is it good to iron out the minor niggles and creases, but it contributes to injury prevention.
No real worries at the moment, but my sports physio has acknowledged the change in my schedule.
Now it's time to sit back and relax - my hour of ceiling hitting pain is over!!

Enjoy it, sounds exciting!

I got in an hour Yoga class late morning then drive to the site of this weekend's Sprint. I'm glad I pre-rode the course today and did a short "brick" run following the ride . . . got lost twice and covered 22+mi instead of the route's 17.2 mi. But, I did finally figure it out and one thing is for sure, there are virtually no flats on this course. You're either going up, or going down, and a lot of hard cornering. Going to have to be on top of the gear shifting for sure . . .

Now that's my kind of workout.

No such massage for me tonight. I ran some hard 2 mile repeats. 8.6 miles in total. Nap time...
