I have an X-lab torpedo system, it works but there were issues.

http://xlab-usa.com/torpedo-system-100.html

the Velcro to hold it in position is useless- it allows it to bounce all over the place.
Replaced Velcro with wire ties and pull tight, this keeps it pretty stable.
the computer set up on front is nice, but it in the way when you take the bottle out.
dolphin tail holder is 100% useless- marketing gimmick.
bit valve is nice but does not hold up well- first one ripped in the first year, this could be me- we'll see
on ruff roads there is some splatter.

AT an expo a couple weeks ago I saw the new Profile design system

http://www.profile-design.com/product/hydration/fc-hydration-system...

Seem to be much sturdier system with all the bells and whistles except for the bite valve.

Thanks Donto.

Yeah, the Profile seems to be the ticket. I know our hobby isn't cheap, but $100 seems steep.

Maybe but it keeps you aero for a long time without moving; it may save you more time on the bike than many other more expensive upgrades.
I ride with the straw resting against my cheek , so it's a quick flinch to be drinking. I know I drink more often(quick sipps) with these system than when I ride my road bike and have to reach for a bottle.

In a sprint/oly, do you feel like this would limit your fast shifting ability?

My hands are on the shifters at all times. I basically have my ring and pinky fingers around the end of the aerobars, index fingers tucked under the shifter and thumbs on top.

I have the PD system link to above and love it. My only complaint is it can roll side to side on the mounting arms. Experienced it for the first time this weekend at the NYC triathlon and it was annoying, roads were super bumpy so that played a role when filled with liquid and bikes had to be racked the day before so condensation on the bars might have contributed as well. Going to try some rubber tape on the bars under the mount and see if that helps, other than that no complaints.

Learn why two bottles behind the saddle along with and aero drink bottle mount between the aerobars is the best combination of convenience and aerodynamics for HIM and IM racing.
