Good morning BT!

4:45am:  Insanity Power and Resistance

5:30am:  Strength stuff + core

Surviving the first week back!  The other day on Facebook I saw a quote that said "There is no tired like back to school teacher tired"  I was exhausted yesterday afternoon! So much talking in the last few days!

Have a great day everyone!

Hope the kids aren't wearing you down too much Kim. My mom was a teacher for twenty something years, and I saw how tired she was coming home from work every afternoon. Not to mention that she then had to deal with me for the rest of the day!

Easy 5 and change miles this morning for me. I'm headed out for my trip this afternoon, so this will be the last of my posting before race day since I'll be in the middle of nowhere. I've got some more easy 5 milers later in the week, and I'll take plenty of pictures. By tomorrow night I'll be stretching my legs out on my cowboy blanket watching shooting stars out in the desert canyons. Have a great week/weekend everyone. Train and race well!

True--the last few weekends I have taken more than my share of naps, which I haven't really done since last year at the same time, even in peak HIM training! That's got to stop once coursework resumes next week, though.

Just 30 minutes easy run here with a couple of strides. It's Vietnamese National Day, so we had the day off--really breaks up the week! Used the time to chip away at the coach search (on other thread), pack for the weekend (boy, is it easier without bikey and all his accessories!) and try to put together a kayak trip for fall break in October. Plus spend some quality time with the fur kids and actually cook dinner for once.

Jamie--our posts just crossed in cyberspace. Good luck on the marathon. Is it your first?? if so, will repeat the only advice that's ever worked for me, besides, "Actually train for it," which you've already done. Don't start too fast!

I admire all you teachers and don't know how you do it!! One of the hardest jobs IMO! We appreciate all you do!!!

Got to bed a little late last night and debated getting up early this morning. My internal clock had other plans and I was awake at 4:30am. ugh.

5:15am - 6.5 mile run with 30 min tempo - I am just not built for speed and these tempo runs are gonna kill me.

9:15am - 80 min hot yoga to stretch and sweat it all out.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Good luck at your race Jamie!

Running with the tri team tonight. I'm tapering a bit for a kids tri I'm doing on labor day. It'll be a 200yd. pool swim, 10k bike, and 2k run. If all goes well, I should be able to do 32-33 min. Hopefully my shoulder heals up by then. I hopped in the pool on Monday to test it out and went about 300 yards before it started to really hurt.
Good luck on your race this weekend, too, Jamie. My dad wanted to do a marathon this year, but he got bit by the triathlon bug.
