Subject: New 70.3 Hilton Head,Sc
According to the local paper, this thing is finally approved for 2016. Going to be in October, no date announcement yet though. Should be a great location to support the event. I live local so I guess I have no excuse not to do it.

Good to hear. I am in Savannah now and saw a bit on the news a few months back where the nay sayers were saying it couldn't be done, which I knew was not true since we put on a half and a full in Key West. Anyway, I may come out of retirement (been a marathoning fool for the last few years) for that one.

Nothing on the Ironman website and the author of the article tweeted out that the WTC global director still has yet to finalize details. Not sure just how official this is yet, even with it going towards that direction I wouldn't confirm till its on WTC's website.

If they put it in October they will be competing with Beach 2 Battleship up in Wilmington, NC. But would be a nice alternative for those that want to do an Ironman event.
