Good morning from a wet and soggy desert!

4:30am:  20  minute WU/6X800m repeats w/1:30 rest intervals.  My 'speed' i(I use the term loosely as even when I get to my speed, it really won't be all that speedy!) isn't quite where I need it to be, but I'm trying!

5:30am:  20 min stair workout.  I've grown bored with Insanity and my workout partner pulled the plug due to back pain...so on to the next plyo type workout!

:15 minute of core

Have a great day and work hard out there, we all do!

Donto...so happy for your progress!

Connor, welcome back to the land of the living but shame on you for getting Uncle Jamie sick!

5:20 AM One hour run
4:30 PM Planned a 3K swim workouts (can't get in the pool on the usual Thursday due to parent conferences) but workout was cut short by nearby lightning and thunder at 1900m. Grrrr....Not going to be a good week for swimming, I guess. At least water was warmer today.

I don't know how you can do all that plyo stuff. My feet would fall off. I think my body is just not made for all that jumping around--every time I do that stuff, I get hurt.

Early visit to the gym for bike intervals, weight work for legs, and a second bike.

It's been a while since I went thru this set, and could tell!

Daughter came back from swim club land training with resistance bands recently, so may give those a try this evening.

Have a great Tuesday

Ahh- I too got to enjoy a wet desert.  Although the rain had passed.

7.5mi easy jog.  Attempted some speed work- but Feeling fatigued and nixed it.   I just did a 3 week build averaging over 70mpw, which was a bit of a reach for me.  I was hoping to be able to beat myself up for a 4th big week and then taper for 3 before the NYCM.  However, after a massage and rest day yesterday... I still feel pretty fatigued.  So, it looks like this will be a down week- which is truly in keeping with most marathon schedules.  then I'll go heavy next week and do a 2 week taper.  That should work.  Just happy to be uninjured (I shouldn't have said that)

I'm sorry Jamie. I didn't mean to.
Back to cross country this morning. I'd forgotten how much of a pain it was to wake up at 5 a.m. Tonight my coach is testing my biking power, which I've never had done before. Then we'll go out for an easy run in some nearby trails.
