Subject: RE: 4.30.16 Super Saturday! I "feel your pain" on the bike seat. Have been having some issues with mine too since my new coach has had me doing a lot more time in the saddle, but my options for dealing with it here are pretty limited. Probably will be in the market for a new saddle (for maybe new bike fit ) when in the US. Not a chafing issue; the saddle seems to be hitting a nerve under my sit bones in the wrong place and triggering piriformis-like discomfort. Maybe I need something more padded, or one that distributes the pressure better. Fortunately it's better when I'm riding on the road, so hoping it will be okay for the race--I think I shift around more then than when on the trainer. The problem is that almost all my riding here is on the trainer. I only ride the tri bike outside 2-3 times a month, if that. Some of those 3-4 hour trainer rides this spring really left me with a sore butt!
Anyway, 1:20 on the trainer, with some HIM effort intervals. |
