Hi kids. Hope you're all having an awesome Saturday on this long weekend. I did a little more adventure running today at one of the state parks near Austin. My watch thermometer read 100 degrees so I ran with ice in my hydration vest. At the bottom of the trail was a river that I jumped into and went exploring. Around a big rocky area I found a cove with a waterfall and just sat there forever cooling off. Best way to spend a Saturday!

Looks like fun!

I got in a quick 3 mile run with my wife and my best friends after a 14 hour road trip to Philadelphia. Looking forward to a little longer run tomorrow as I was knee pain free for the first time in a while during my run today!

This morning our local tri club had a training session. We did a sprint triathlon, but the swim was last (bike - run- swim), and we had lessons on transitions after the run. Very productive day for a new guy like myself. I missed a turn on the bike portion and the run portion. I got the swim right though! The missed turn on the bike added about 4 miles to the ride, and the missed turn on the run cut about 2 tenths off the run.

All in all a good day. Have a happy and safe Fourth!

Warm day here but not that warm! (80's but low humidity). 55 minute trainer ride followed by 2-hour run. Spied a couple of very fast people on the trail, probably warming up for the women's 10,000m. Beautiful day for a long run; finished at the fan fest and watched some of the mobs that have taken over our town for the Trials, then walked home.

Looks amazing Jamie!

2 hour trainer ride for me. Various intervals and some all out efforts to finish it out! It was a good ride! Longest I've done in a while!

Easy 3.5 mile run, 10 mile test bike session with sustained average of 19mph, 1 hour swim practice and then quick 25 minutes on a treadmill.

Getting prepped for a very challenging bike ride on Monday so lots of adjustments and changes on the bike hence the test session. Bike is on point and ready to tackle Mount Baldy. 75 miles and 8,000ft of climb.

Tomorrow is rest day.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
