Good morning BT!  Slept in a little once again due to late night getting home from the softball tournament.

Soon:  Heading out for an 8 mile trail run.  Not taking the doggies today though--in this heat they can only handle about 30 minutes before they are seeking shade so I'll run this one solo.

Susan--so cute about your son playing Prince Charming! How'd he do?  That takes a kind of courage I would never have had either!

I can't believe it's the last day of July!  I was writing up our family's August schedule and can't believe how packed it is with 'stuff'...and some of it school related! Waaah!

Have a great day!

I am back from the Dominican. What a great trip. They even have spin class in the pool.

I did multiple swims in the Atlantic. Ran some on the beach. We played hours of beach volleyball every day. The resort seemed to be 1/3 American, 1/3 Eastern European and 1/3 South American. I have not vacationed with so many people from Russia. Any way the beach volleyball was very competitive. I can't spike like I used to but I can dig and set. The Europeans take their volleyball very seriously. The restaurants are superb and I put on 6 pounds. Now I need to get it off.

I had a nice bike ride today and a good swim of 2,500 yards.

Feel fortunate--it's back to work for me tomorrow! School starts a week from Wednesday!

Back in Saigon as of about midnight Saturday. Sunday--50 minute run and lots of unpacking and organizing. Headed off now to try to get in a workout at the gym pool. This is going to be an interesting month with school starting soon and Worlds in five weeks. Yikes!

First run since calf pull, so only 4 miles.

Do we really need chia, spelt, and quinoa? Is anything wrong with old-fashioned peanut butter, broccoli and brown rice?

We have new 10 and 20 week training plans for the New Year! These mini sprint plans are very conservative and will get any person thinking of training for a triathlon ready to cross the finish-line.

Cotswold super sprint - UK. Lots of bodies colliding, I swam half over someone, got kicked by some bloody breaststroker, and as a mob we poured towards the first buoy.

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.

Since I didn't have much time and since it's a super sprint, am I OK just go to at the training relatively hard through Thursday or even Friday?
