During the weekend of my first Iron distance tri, not only my brother supported me, but he also had time to film the event. Here's a 7mn video of my race that I'd like to share here :

Christian.

P.S. the text at the end means something like (bad trasnscript. i know!) : "The earth teaches us more than all the books. Because it resists us. Human disvover himself when he faces the obstacle".

Cool video. So....um....how many participants were there? It looks like not very many. My only experience with an Ironman is the Wisconsin one, which is really big and has huuuuuuge crowds of fans everywhere. I'd think it'd only be that much harder to do an Ironman if there weren't a ton of screaming fans everywhere you looked.

Thanks to all of you !

There weren't so many participants... We were only 13 on the Iron distance tri... Others (about 20) were on the team relay. I guess that the discipline is not as popular in Quebec as it is troughout the US...

As for the tent, we wanted to sleep there but it was so Hot (~30) and humid that we went to sleep at a friends place....

That was a great exeperience though as the bike and run legs were loops so family and friends could cheer us every time we passed...

Christian.
