Long term plan for 2008.  If I sign up for IMMoo.  Don't want to fly and don't want to fuss with motels getting across America.   And don't want to buy and RV.

Might try this next August for IM Canada.   What are the Pros/Cons?

Never done the rental thing but I used to trailer/RV a lot. It is so much fun, even if your day is spent driving. I wouldn't recommend it if you have young children, unless you have a dvd player  (or the like) in your car. But definatly take and extra day or two to see the sights. Well worth it. You also get to sleep in YOUR bed not some cheap motel bed (unless its a fairmont). I would recommed this way for sure if you can get over the price of oil.

Side note. Do a weekend trip or two before doing this for a big race. This mode of travel/accomadation does take a little bit out of you.
