Anyone doing Malibu Triathlon

I am in.
When I originally tried to sign up they were sold out. So I decided to do the LA as my 2nd tri. I got in Malibu from winning a drawing from the tri club.

I looked at the course today (Friday) I am wondering what they are going to do since the area that goes under PCH at the beginning of the bike was completely flooded. Water was a good 8-10” deep.

In practice I had rideen through there and it was OK as long As I went slow . Someone had had installed a nice little wooden pontoon bridge so our bike tires would stay dry and enforced a strick 5 mph and no passing zone .
Worked well .
My race went well , My only issue , which cost me some time was i felt my back tire soften and stopped to boost it up with some air but my co2 cartridge failed ( not the first time either GRRR!) A friendly cyclist helped me out with one of his CO2 . . And The tire was good for the rest of the ride.
