Subject: NOVA OWS areas
Hi,

I live in Fairfax, VA. Anyone know of any places to do OWS training around here?

Call/go see Steve at Tri-nergy Multisports in Sterling (571.434.1960). He takes a group OW simming at a lake in Ashburn one day during the week (evenings) and one day on the weekend (mornings).

I'm planning to stop over at trienergy to see if they know where one could do some OWS practice.

I'm doing my first OWS tri in about 4 weeks... in my first race (pool), I had big struggles with the swim, and that was in a pool.

If anyone knows about OWS options, would love to hear them.  Oh and BTW, I know about the Reston lake swim this weekend... that is a mile, which is too much for me, and it is full anyway.

Hey Tim,

 let me know what you find our about the TriNergy. I have severe fear of OWS, do not like looking under water (you never know what you might see ;-)

To the OP - You read my mind!! I am currently near Tysons- and will be even when I move. I am going to sign up for a clinic at the race site a week before, but I want to get in some OWS before then, even if it's not in a wetsuit. The race is in a lake, so a lake would be perfect.

It's funny that you mention the clinic... I found that this afternoon, will probably do the one coming up in a couple weeks... Luray, right?

Zoya, if you feel like making the trip to Luray, they are having a clinic, which is what we r talking about... June 3rd.

Yeah, I'm actually going to do the clinic on August 11th. I can't do June 3rd as I have two previous commitments that I can't get out of. But yes, for the Luray races. I am only doing the sprint though...
