I imagine there must be quite a pulse on this site immed after the IM WI. If there is...well I'm piling on too! Tried to register for the 2007 IMWI and missed it. grrrrrr. But I did register for the 2007 Spirit of Racine. Now I have goal. And goals are what get me going.

I am another 40 yo, married, 3 kids (11, 9, and 6), home owning, job juggling, soccer coaching, fat, balding, happy, and now delurked triathlete.

This year's IMWI was immensely inspiring. What an event. It made me hungry again to do something extreme, something challenging. In 2003 I did SyttendeMai and Chicago. In 2004 I did Syttende Mai again and Grandma's marathon. And I've been on easy street ever since. I've done several little triathlons as well over the years. This year I did the South Wood County YMCA sprint triathlon. What a fabulous little event! Loved it. Highly recommend it.

This time around, besides needing some goals, I'm looking for some other Clydesdales here in the Madison/Stoughton area that might want to hook up and do some training and maybe even some triathloning too.

more later!

cheers
JB

Welcome to BT. Sound like you have some great goals to work toward! Be sure to use the training logs to keep track of your training. It is a great tool to be able to go back to and see your progress or to see where your training could be lacking! Have a great week!

Jeff--I raced the Racine half this year, and it was a great event. I'll likely be there again next year. I also cheered everyone on at IMMOO this weekend, and missed online reg for IMMOO, because I was waffling on it. Yesterday I sent my application for a charity spot, we'll see if that gets me there!

P.S. I like your self description, so here's mine: I'm a 31 yo, single, no kids, no dogs, no house plants, home owning, job juggling, kickball playing, volunteering, genetically skinny, balding, happy and two years into my tri-life guy.
