Ron,
Love the logging! Not sure if this was brought up before. I find myself doing a lot of split training and think it would be nice if one could enter split training sessions for the disciplines. I bike to/from work up to 3 times a week for my training and would like to log the first as Bike 1 and later as Bike 2. The blog and calender pages could show both the sessions.

You could enter it in the comments section and it would appear on the training page as (for example:

BIKE 1h / 25 miles / 12.5 mile/hr

am 25m / 12 miles / 12 mile/hr
pm 35m / 13 miles / 13 mile/hr

It works fore me and there is no need for an elaborate fix.

yeah...i think mach is right...there would have to be significant changes to the /discussion/training/add-event.asp page that could be better spent elsewhere.  but i will certainly look into this.  anybody else have thoughts on this?  at the minimum, once we get all the main features in hopefully by the years end, stuff like this would be more likely to happen next year.

thanks for the comment...will keep it on the burner.

This question is similar to the one I asked in the thread "logging interval training" and I agree that using the "overall comments" section works fine. But since it seems many newbies have this question, maybe there is a way to alert people that newlines and HTML is recognizes in the Overall Comments box, and so that is a great place to record spilts/intervals for the workouts. Best would be adding a note on the form itself, or at least on the Instructions. On the other hand, it did force me to post a question to the forum, otherwise who know how long I might have lurked! :)

p.s. I see now why HTML is not allowed on the comments for individual sports, becaus they can show up on the Weekly grid so using text-only is better.

A feature that could help a little more is calories used (or watts) in each session since this is an indicator of how much comes in and how much it is used. It serves to several groups of athletes: Those who want to lose fat and those who need to manage thier food.
I understand that not all are using gadgets with bunch of data. Being in the forum we could understand better how this will benefit the group as a whole.

im a step ahead of u.  been wanting to do that for some time...if all goes well in october, u can see that 'nutrition/calorie logging and caloric expenditures' be online by the years end.  i have already got it quoted and ready to go...most likely, we will introduce that in two phases...phase one this fall, ealry winter to set-up and de-bug the nutrition logging area.  this spring, phase two would be integrating caloric expenditures with training data to get caloric defecits or ecesses...hang tight.

oh, fightingfish, good call, i should add something like that to the instructions.
