Here's what I'm looking forward to in the off-season:

5. More sex with my sweetie

To quote Mike Ricci: if you're too tired for a  booty call, you're overtraining.

I must have been overtraining since last March!  On the otherhand, I had a great freakin' season.  But as the weather turns cooler, I think about:

1. More sex, I have a lot of catching up to do.

2. More time with my kids.

3. Striper fishing.

4. Sleeping in- this means 7am.

5. Mountain biking and trail running.

I'm on day 10 of my offseason...no s/b/r since my last tri...things I'm enjoying.

1. Having more time with my family
2. Sleeping in with my husband on the weekends
3. My body feels great not tired, nagging soreness & my back doesn't hurt anymore
4. Doing things I've ignored for the last 18 months....trying to work on better balance between training & life.
5. Next week back to strength training...can't wait
6. Time to focus on swim & run technique
7. In the off season is where I can improve the most

4-6 more days of no s/b/r training then 3 weeks of unstructured time...then starting up for my 2007 season.

1) More time to hang out with my friends and boyfriend.

2) Getting to drink a few more vanilla vodka's and diet cokes!

I'm looking forward to this as well.

Here are my 5 favorite things about the non-racing season.

1.  Work out more consistently.

2.  Focus on and improve my weakest areas (swim technique, bike speed).

3.  Running in the snow.

4.  Running in the snow.

5.  Running in the snow.

I think it's now pretty obvious why my weak spots are the swim and bike!

Oh yeah, that's another thing I want to try -- a snowshoe run.

I also like XC and downhill skiing.  Tried snowboarding last year...fun at first, but then THUD, and OUCH!
