Subject: Brand New Ready to Tri
I have been lurking on this site for a few months, telling myself that I was just getting "training info" and not really willing to admit I would like to do a Tri. I guess it's like the internal "You can't do that!" thing that stopped me. Well, it's been 4 months and I have been swimming running and biking everyday, and I guess it's time to admit it. I wanna tri.
I just bought a Trek 7.3FX to use as a workout bike. I swim around 1000m a day and run 10-15 miles a week at this point. So far biking is my weakest (least experience) event.
If there are any Tri-ers in the Ft. Leonard Wood/Lebanon/Rolla/Lake Ozark area looking for a partner, I'm available.

Welcome to BT and congrats on taking the plunge. Be sure to take advantage of all of the information on this site as well as the experience of many of the people here. Also be sure to log your training so that you can look back and see your progress. Good luck!

Welcome Jarrett.  You're off to a good start. Do you have a specific race in mind for your first one?

Hi Jarrett, welcome to BT!  You already run way more than some of us "triathletes," so just grab a bike and go, you can DEFINTELY do it.

Hi Jarrett, welcome!

You are doing loads more training than some of us, that's for sure!

Use the training log facility, then we can pop in and check on your training and Inspire you.

Let us all know which race you choose.

Good luck!

Jac
