Anyone else here watch "The Biggest Loser"?  Even though I never expect my body to get as overweight as these people are, I still find it inspiring to see these people struggling to change their lives around.  I don't always agree with some of the exercises they have them doing (i.e. running when you are so overweight has got to be terribly dangerous for their knees).  I like the new female coach that they have this year (as compared to the one they've had in prior seasons).

Hello, my name is Chris, and I watch the Biggest Loser......   I really like the show, I especially like it when people that are voted off continue on and you see how well they've done, like the woman from week 1.  It's cheesy and corny, but I like it.

And the new female coach is a hottie

I really like the show. There is a thread in the WeightLoss forum where we discuss it as well.

I love how the contestants really want to change and most of the families are supportive and want to learn to be heathly as well.

Count me in.  I have loved it since the first season.  Talk about feeling inspired.

Yeah, last season I had a date every Wednesday with The Biggest Loser and my Nordic Track.  Going to start again tonight, but I can only stand the Nordic Track for an hour and TBL is on for 2 hours tonight I think.  Hopefully will be able to catch the second half while making dinner.

I love it.  I was never that large and never looked that bad, but I still love the inspiration I get from the show and the transformations at the end.  I have lost 75 pounds to date and relate to them.  Combine that with the peak into their lives and I will watch as long as they show it.

I got suckered in last nigyt by accident- it happened to be on in the gym while I was on the elliptical. I had to go home though, right when they were voting off a member- I know who it was based on the NBC "2 min recap" but I want to know WHY they picked who they did-- I was stunned it wasn't a diff person (trying to avoid spoiling )

I watched it last night because there was only baseball on ESPN.  I thought it was ok except for the overly cheesy way in which they carry in a covered dish with the name of the person they are voting off and lift the cover to reveal the name, accompanied with a "Gee, I feel terrible, but I'm voting for ______"  lame lame lame lame

I catch snippets of the show as I channel surf and come in and out of the room, the one thing that I noticed that kills me is the now gratuitous product placement (the vitamins this week).  Gimme a break, could that be a little bit more staged/scripted?  And with the age of Tivo upon us I'm sure we'll only be seeing more and more of it overall.

Oh and Possum, I didn't catch all of the debate, just the vote off, but I think that person was just considered the weakest in terms of potential weight loss to come.  Although there might have been something I missed because someone else on the team had lost less weight than the one voted off.

Yeah, it should have been the other chick who isn't losing much weight.  I think their logic is to send out the person who they believe will have the best chance of success away from the ranch.  They don't want to vote someone out who is weak or who they think will fail at home.  So they voted for who they did because they felt she was stronger and could complete her goals on her own.

wow. that is SO generous! I've never seen any kind of vote made on such charitable and benevolent ethics!  I saw a snippet of them discussing their voting srategies the night before and they were saying that was the approach they should all take, but I can't believe they actually followed through!

I thought it was a good vote off- The team seemed really distraught at having to vote someone off, unlike the red team the week before where there was all kinds of drama. I liked that she didn't take bad vibes from it- she still hugged them all goodbye. It was a positive vote off. That's why I like the blue team better... (right now anyway)

To the guys: do you really think the new female trainer is hot? She seems too beefy for me- all her muscles make her look heavy, IMO. I love a good toned and cut up woman (ie Jessi- she's hot!) but this girl is too over the top for me. But then again, I'm not a dude, and I'm basing my preference on how I would like to look....

Can't wait for next week. Hope some of the contestants from previous years pop in on the show and reveal how they are keeping up their losses...

ummmmmm, yes.  She is not weighlifter beefy, she is solid.  She is a little too cheerleader-esque for me in the personality department, and she does need to learn how to control a team

I think they were all full of crap giving that as their reason.  It seemed to me like they all cohorted off camera about it.  There really WASN'T an honest logical reason IMHO.  I usually can see/understand the reason a person is eliminated and this one just made no sense to me.  And then to show her "where's she now" clip and she hasn't lost any more weight?  Guess they were wrong about that one...

Anyway, I LOVE this show and watch it every week!  I watched the last two seasons too.  But this time around I have this strange feeling that some of the stuff is contrived.  Like, do you really think Bob and the new trainer hand-picked those 14 people?  Or does anyone else think they had help from the producers?
