Subject: Greetings! HI! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm David and have just begun training a week or so ago. I'm 32, married and have a 3 y/o daughter and a son due to be born in October! I'm really enjoying my training so far. I've been really out of shape for a long time and have a lot of weight to lose (I was right at 270lbs. last week ) but I am motivated to make necessary changes. I'm not new to training but I let it move to the bottom of my priority list for so long until I just quit all together. In 1997, just before my wife and I started dating, I ran the Memphis Marathon (4:38 )! I hope to run that distance again some day but I'm happy now just to be training. I've been swimming and run/walking so far and I have a new bike ordered. It will be in at my bike shop any day now!! I have really enjoyed all the articles, advise and wisdom I've been reading here. I hope to contribute whatever I can to the discussions but for now I could use any advise I can get.
