If Norman keeps a 5 minute lead into T2 it's going to be extremely tought for anyone to catch him. Someone would need to step up and put a 2:45 Marathon in.....don't see that happening today. Especially with the lack of wind on the bike and everyone pushing bigger gears...

It's going to be interesting regardless. I am hoping for a good race. I would rather see that than a blow out...

Hubby's cousin Darlene did the swim in 1:12:13.   Finished second leg of the bike in  2:45:58.  Whoop whoop!!   I finally have a little more time to tune in here and Ironman live!!

None. I was just talking about how great the feed is coming in. 4 hours for the feed and not one problem.

I also had it up at my mom's place for the start and no problems there.

Looks like a big azz draft pack of the contendors hanging out at 10 minutes fro Stadler letting him dangle.

Cam Brown is in that pack. He's been my pick for the race ..... go Cam!!!! (Faris is there as well, so the reigning champ is looking good).

Looks like it isn't Natascha's day today ......... if MJ comes off the bike with 10-15 minutes on her I don't think she is gonna be caught .........

parrj - 2006-10-21 5:25 PM anybody else getting a lot of breakup on the livefeed?

I have audio, but no video. I never get video on IM Live feeds...ever! So, I am just listening the announcers and refreshing the Race Coverage page. That said, I have absolutely no breakup in the audio .

I do have a message that says, "Network too busy to play file at original quality." I guess it has something to do with why I don't have video.

Enjoy the broadcast...I hope the breakup you're experiencing doesn't cause you to miss too much of it.

I say nobody! I am going to stick with my origional post. He looks great on the run, nice long strides and light on his feet.

Would be nice to see a 10K shoot out though....

This is just gross!

FINAL BIKE SEGMENT 112 mi. (5:14:34) 27.19 mph
TOTAL BIKE 112 mi. (4:18:23) 26.01 mph

The last 24 mile segment is just nuts......most OLY guys have a hard time with a split like that....

I don't think Norm will be caught. No ones taking enough out of his lead. The only way he can lose is if he cracks. My bet is on Norm.

How about the women. Who's going to catch Jones?

What a cool idea with that mat that reads your chip and then it puts up a message for you that from anyone that wanted to put one in there..

They keep saying he's closing in on 5 miles to go.

He pasted the 2nd run segment 17.6 miles 16 minutes ago.  He is well under 10K now.
