Hi all. I've been browsing this site for a while and finally decided to register. Seem like there is lots of good info here. I'm new to this sport, picked the Vineman last year about this time as my first tri. Read a few books(Matt Fitzgerald, Joe Friehl) and pretty much trained myself. My goal originally was 12:15,but I realized before the race that was'nt going to happen. Revised my goal to 13:00, finished in 13:17. I was pretty much shot by the run. The main thing I learned was just way too much info re training for me to pick up on my own. So I got a coach. My goal now is to go back to vineman in 07 and post something with an eleven in front of it. Also plan to do the Auburn half in May. Love this sport.

Great start! How long did it take you to train for this competition? Please provide some description about your training so that all of us could benefit. For me this is fantastic achievement to make this distance as a first timer. Congratulations!

Good luck

Marcin

WOW - Congratulations on your finish (regardless of time) and welcome to BT!

Great job and I am sure the coach has helped. Keep up with the training and good luck in '07.
