Have enjoyed lurking the last few weeks. I'm an almost 40 year-old, slightly injured marathoner who just bought a road bike 6 weeks ago and also started swimming recently to cross- train while getting my hamstring back in running shape. Of course this got me thinking about tri's. Have no definite plans yet. Thinking about doing one next spring. I’ve been a runner of and on since the late 1970’s. Have taken to biking fairly well. Swimming is another story. Man is that humbling. But I’ll keep at it.

A little about myself. I live in Maryland, 15 miles or so outside DC. I'm married and have 9 kids, yes 9, 5 boys and 4 girls. That might explain why I'm out training a lot . Actually I do almost all my workouts early in the morning while the kids are still asleep.
I'm 5-6 and weigh 140-145 doen from 185 a few years ago. That's why a started running again.

Have a great day,

Rob

Nine kid! Well, you have enough for a baseball team or a really good cheering section. My hat is off to you, having nine children and still finding the time to train for a tri. Welcome aboard.

I've got one dog and I sometimes think I've got too much going on! I can't imagine 9 kids! Yes, time management is probably your forte! Glad to have you here! LW
