newbie after death

I'm a newbie here. Today is my first day to the site and LOVE IT. So much information. I'm a 27/m from Columbus, Ohio, and just lost my mother due to MS and cancer. She always supported and went out of her way to encourage my running. So now I'm running again, and taking her with me. After running lots of 5k high school races, some 10ks and a slow marathon..I figure it's time to step up and do something for myself as well as my mother. So I'm going to suck in all the information I can, and give it my all. I appreciate being amongst all the fine athletes here. Just reading all the information is encouragement and motivation. Thanks.
