First off, this site is AWESOME!!! A couple of years ago I did my first sprint tri, and while planning it went well, logging was tough. Now I have a site I can go to both at work and home, and can keep close track of my progress. And the graphs! WAAYYYYYY COOL. Congratulations on a great site.

So, I am 27, 6" 200 lbs. Yeah, bigger boy - I have always been into lifting and really threw myself into it for the last 8 years of my life. But I really want to do a tri, and have found this site to be a great way to kick it off.

I did my first sprint tri a couple years ago and loved it, and want so badly to get back into it. I began training a couple of weeks ago, and am looking for this training to help me get into shape, improve the problems I have with my knees (Just straight running kills them), and to finish a tri or two!

I really admire all the support this group gives. Thanks for all you do, and if any of you are in Boise, maybe I'll see you at the next tri (I am not ready for any of this season's finishing tri's, but my goal is to be ready for the start of next season).

PS I am 6' (6 foot) not 6" (inches) tall. Now that would be a feat!

Whew! I'm glad you cleared that up. I was driving myself nuts trying to picture a 6 inch guy who weighed in a 200 pounds. You would have had to have a 340 inch waist I think!!!!!!!!! Welcome aboard.

Welcome, Joe. I used to lift as well. For me, this is a lot harder, is more balanced, and is more satisfying.

Good luck.
