It's not on the West Coast as requested, but it is a nice, small, scenic race.  I ran the inaugural marathon in 2005.

This one is in Ocean City, Maryland on April 7, 2007.   Flat and not far from the water.

Ave of the Giants seems to be a good fit

If you were ready a bit earlier in the year you could also look at the Napa Marathon

I see that you have CIM in your footer for 2006. Did you run CIM this year?

Equastrian Connection marathon in Libertyville, Illinois. Its an easy trail marathon. You get to run by Great America theme park. Plus a great chance to win your a/g or even win overall.

I hav'nt eaten  the pasta dinner, but I never do. It's earier for me to eat on my own with friends than attend the dinners.  Just  not into  having to eat at a certian time.

Yes, the Pig has hills, but nothing major.  If you want crazy hill from H@ll  sign up for the  Charlottesville Marathon..now that's insane hills.

I love the Pig, but we all  have different  likes and dislikes.  Good luck

I ran the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon last April as part of the pace team and loved it.  It's  a flat course, good support, lots of spectators, great post-race and the city really gets into it as a way to remember the bombing each year.  It starts right in front of the memorial.

Top-notch race all the way.

Thanks for that post.... I have been looking at this one for my first official 26.2.

It'd be a very nice way for me to visit Dad and family in Tulsa, plus run a first marathon, too.

Thanks for the info, Aaron/JeepFleeb.  Will you run it again in 2007?  Want to pace my slowness at a 10 min/mile, or 9 if you push me, just give me a shout!

Cheers, -Sunny
