Might be of use. The other thing is...determine your airline, and the dimensions they'll accept. I think the velosafe is over the 'standard' dimensions, which will end up 1) costing you a boatload, or 2) the airline refusing to carry it. No matter where you end up, call the airline in question to determine how they'll handle it. As far as the box, velosafe seems to be the premier brand (from my research, no prev experience) in terms of keeping bikes safe. Trico seems to make the 2nd most popular - again, with a 100% safe track record, and there are a bunch of 3rd choices that, from what I can tell, all seem to keep your bike safe. Most damage seems to be done from opening and repacking the case improperly. |
