I don't know if last nights was a re-run.
But for me 3 hours of Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen fawning over Lance was just too much.
There was some interesting stuff in there but 3 hours. (was it 3 or did it just feel like it) was too long.
Besides they left me with the uneasy image of Lance and Jan Ullrich hugging...

So what you're telling me is that the 6time TdeF winner doesn't deserve a 3 hour bio? You can always change the channel and watch DIY's Train Modeling shows. I'm of the opinion that Lance has earned the coverage. First of all, its not a big three network, its not even ESPN. Its OLN and give the man his due.

By the way, you've got a very cool hobby. My kids love steam trains.

No. Thats not what I am saying at all. I said for me it was a bit much.
I would have rather watched three 1 hour shows.
Phil and Paul are great commentators, it's just they aren't the greatest interviewers.

Well, I can tell you I was fascinated by the entire thing, and my husband and I watched every solitary second of it! And I think it was only 2 hours long...(?) Or maybe I missed an hour? I don't know... but I was absolutely glued to the TV. Can't get enough Lance Armstrong these days. Wishing I would have discovered him sooner. He's an inspiration, a fantastic athlete, and one hell of a hard worker. (!!!!) LW

I read the second one... "Every Second Counts".... The first one is on my list of things to read.... sooooooon. Just found out this weekend MY DAD has been holding out on me, and has purchased the T de F telecasts on video tape... He has all 5 Lance years in a box set.... They are narrated by Phil and Paul.... I borrowed 1999 and 2000... going to watch them this weekend... Then go back for 2001 and 2002, and 2003!  WOOOOO WEEEEEEEEEEE Can't wait. !!!!! LW

Dang, I missed this. I really need to get a Tivo so I stop missing everything.

I did read both of his books. This past weekend. Started with "It's not about the bike" on Friday, and finished "Every Second Counts" on Sunday.

I also got Chris Carmichaels training/diet/nutrition book. Very good reading so far. For anyone looking to better tailor their dietary / training habits, I'd highly recommend this book too.

This is the 2nd year that I have watched this 2 hour tour follow up with Lance. I actually enjoyed hearing him talk about each stage, what he was thinking, and the team's strategy. No matter how long the show was, it was far better than the usual hunting,/fishing/dog/bullriding shows that seem to make up 90% of OLN's schedule.

Who's Lance Armstrong?

Just kidding?

Not being a cyclist and basically not liking any thing French (food, wine, people) haven't been much of a TDF fan. But jeez, I can admire someone who so dominates his sport! No matter, Lance's began as a triathlete and that's the part I always remember.

I am with you Motivated! The guy is awesome and to hear the play by play from the QB and not John Madden is the way it should be done. What other sport do you have the athelete give us this much time. Not Tiger Woods! Cycling only get so much air time anyway. If watching the tour and Lance does not make you want to go ride I am lost. Also what other international sport shows the respect amoung top atheletes as cycling. Unless your a Frenchman named Simeoni!

Live strong and ride hard!
