ok - It maybe it's in here somewhere... Dan what are you tipping the scale @ and height - the avtar looks much larger - or it's the wetsuit! Must be really low bodyfat % too?

Wow, you look really fit... just curious?

Great photo's - that pool swim looks interesting - i read the review still did not get how that worked - you swam under lines crossing the pool - or did you stay in the same lanes? I've never done a indoor tri - it's looking like my first Tri maybe the 1/2 IM in August.

Great pics Dan.  Those calf muscles on the bike are bulging. No wonder you're so dam fast.

In regards to the avatar, I'm sure it's some photoshop fancy work.  I am 5"11 and 150 - 155 lbs.  According to my bathroom scale, I'm 5% BF

We crossed under the lane lines.  It was a 6 lane 25 meter pool and you went up and back, under the lane line, cont.  This was my first indoor swim, so it was rather interesting.  One thing I can tell you...if you ever do one.  Put a low time on your 100 m split.  It'll make things easier on you.

And Thank You on the really fit comment.  I appreciate it.

My theory is if you can't BE fast...might as well LOOK fast.  And I have no idea how you fit into size 13!!

Looking for pace chart for swimming - for example - I know you need for run sub 19 for a 5k run to finish a marathon in under 3 - does a chart like that exist for swimming - trying to figure out what my predicted time could be for 1/2 IM distance (apx)
My last workout main set 5 -200 w/ 45 sec rest
3:52
3:47
3:41
3:42
3:39

I felt very good and could have continued did 500 cd - still learning what a race pace should feel like for longer distances. I still have till August - will start some open water as soon at the lake warms up... any input would be great.

FYI - I could not swim a 200 in December!

Since I am the king of all that is Tri information (and if you believe that...) I found something for you and I learned something too.   I personally like what he said here:  "Did you ever hear this one:
“I swim open water faster than in a pool because I don’t have to turn.”

Here is the link and at the end is a link to a pace chart.  I'm going to use this one too:  http://www.d3multisport.com/articles/swimpacing.html

16.3 miles today running. Only 60 miles for the month running lol.

8 hours done for week, planned on 6.

Gone for a week starting tomorrow skiing in Tahoe. Will take running clothes just in case I get the urge to run. Don't count on it though.

We are all busy training!

It has been a busy one for me this week so I've been cutting out the fat from my schedule.  The fat being spending time in the forums.   They need to put a category in the training logs for time spent running around the park/playground/house with a 2 year old and a 3 year old!

YES I DID.  You'd better get on it Art.  I'm not going to plan my trip to IM FL to watch you walk any part.  I don't care if you're 6'7" and a cop...I will literally put foot to arse to get you moving.

In a loving helpful mentor kind of way, of course.

Well, the trip to FL won't be necessary. I already withdrew since the finances necessary for me to make the trip with my family would require me to work so much I wouldn't be able to train adequately for the race. I'm also unsure about the Honu 70.3 coming up in June but I still want to attempt it.

I've recently started doing CrossFit training with some of my coworkers which is a real kick in the teeth. I haven't really done much swim/bike/run stuff lately but I want to start real soon. My bike is in the LBS for a tuneup and I'll pick it up soon.

Anyway... I've got a lot of ground to make up. Thanks for being there.

Well, I haven't posted in a while since you people freaked me out with how much you are working out and how far you go.

But I have really been consistent in my workouts and I am amazed at my improvement. I am doing one of the training plans from BT and it is doing wonders. I can swim 1250 yds without a rest, bike 17 miles and enjoyed it and my confidence is getting so much better. Not to mention, I am losing about a pound a week now. I don't walk up hills on my bike anymore and I am really getting to know my gears.

I look forward to my workouts and have to hold back from not doing too much or not taking a rest day.

Anyway, I thougth I would share. I am not in your competition yet on the forum, but give me one more season!

Hey Dan... I have a question for you.  Do you do, or know anyone who does crash training?  Maybe amiine?  My race is coming up, and I am feeling slow.  Thoughts?
