Subject: anyone with rotator cuff surgery experience?

I just got the results of my MRI from my August 17th bike accident. (MRI done 12/1)  It is a rotator cuff tear. I am so depressed.  I am wondering if anyone has had this and how they did with rehab. HOw long before I can swim? Run?  What are people's experiences? I'd love some words of wisdom or encouragement.   Thanks!

You could probab;y use a stationary bike almost right away.  Swimming MAYEB at 6 weeks, probab;y closer to 6-8 weeks post op.  RUnning when you can tolerate which will probab;y be 2-4 weeks post op.  Rehab yes   BTW MRIs are not always accurate...so maybe its only a partial tear or not torn at all....trying to give you a ray of hope
