Got my new bike yesterday.  Originally, my wife and I agreed that I would save the cash and purchase next spring.  At last weekend's race she changed her mind.  During the race I was coming into T1 and the announcer made some comments to the crowd how I was one of the favorites in my age group.  Coming into T2 he made similar comments again about my bike and run strengths, blah, blah, blah.  A friend of mine's wife turned to my wife when he said that and she said, "You really need to let him get that bike".  After the race we were waiting in the food line at the outdoor barbecue and she put her arms around me and said "Go ahead and get the bike".  I was in shock.

I called Gear West and they were able to get the last of only 3  56" Felt DA that were available in the country.  They are all gone now.  I'll have real pictures available soon.  The aerobars shown in this picture aren't the ones I have.  I have the Zipp Vuka cockpit (http://www.zipp.com/BarStems/tabid/76/CategoryID/5/List/1/Level/1/ProductID/100/Default.aspx?SortField=ISBN%2CISBN )  that has the flatter aerobars ($1,100 by themselves).  Can't wait to race with it on Sunday!

Can you ask your wife if I can have one too??

Does your bike you have now have aeorbars?  Because it was kind of hard for me to go from my road bike to my tri bike.  Although I am sort of a wimp.

We will REALLY kick at Spirit now (OK- you will!)

Grasping for straws are we?

Just give me your address and a box of tissues are on the way for next weekend

The coulda, shoulda, woulda will linger for two weeks in between SOR and Steelhead and then for months of abusive trash talking after

Sub 4:30 at Racine is as far out on a limb that I want to go for me.  Sounds like it may be HOT weather.

The only thing I remember from last year is that Elite/pro went first, then we went out in the Elite Masters after them.  No clue who goes out after that.  No guarantees on the food
