Group,

I am interested in a waterproof work out book to have at the end of the pool. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found these on Amazon:
The Waterproof Triathlete: Waterproof Workouts for Triathletes
Workouts in a Binder: Swim Workouts for Triathletes
Workouts in a Binderâ„¢ for Swimmers, Triathletes, and Coaches (Workouts in a Binder)

thanks,
keith

Keith,

This does not specifically address your question, but what I do is use a small dry erase board where I write my workout plan (copied from a book which is not waterproof).  It works well, and I've had several other swimmers (including some instructors and lifeguards) ask me about it.

I've browsed through "Waterproof workouts for Triathletes" and it looked to be pretty good-

Personally, I write my workouts on 3"x5" index cards and put them in a ziplock. Works great!

Workouts in a Binder: Swim Workouts for Triathletes

I purchased this a good 2 years ago and have used it for all of my swim workouts. It was well worth the money.

It can get wet... but I always want to try mine off afterwards. This can be tedious. So now days, I double bag in ziplock baggies.

You can get it wet though, and if you don't mind it ever getting dry (hard to dry out pages stuck together unless you dry them individually)... then it should work fine.

I use "Swim Workouts in Binder".  Each workout has two lengths - one short and one long workout.  I like and use it when I'm not swimming with the Master's Swim group.

If you wanna look like a swimmer.... this is what you do.

Print your workout on normal printer paper.

When you get to the pool walk over to your lane and hop in with your work out.

Get the paper wet and stick it to the wall above the laneline (so it doesen't get splashed from the flipturns.)

The workout will stay there the entire time, whether 1 hour or 3, just remember to take it off when you leave or the lifegaurd might have a hissy fit.

check this out:

It's not a specific workout log. Just waterproof paper and "write in the rain" pens. I have the nice green military ones and they work great. I have never had to write in the pouring down rain, but I have washed and dried a notebook that had writing on it and it survived.

I can only imagine that the pens would make it better.

Lamonate a piece of paper and write you workout on it with a white board marker and either stick it to the pool wall or just leave it near your water bottle.............cheap as chips and simple to use

I have a small three ring binder in a waterproof cover...but it is for Diving. You can run by any Scuba shop and get these. (w/o the dive logs)...you can keep you stuff in it. While your there, you can pick up a small dive slate. It is waterproof and allows you to write on it with a pencil. It would work great.
