I'm in! I need to get my butt in gear to reach my goal!

I'm 5'6", F, on my way down from 236lbs (in February '05). Currently I'm somewhere around 176-177 -- I'll weigh in officially on Monday with ya'll.

Starting weight: (177?, ~31%BF)
Ultimate goal weight (1Apr): 150/<20% BF

31 January goal: 169

I'll tell you, I've been hanging out in the 170's for a while now -- I'll be ecstatic to break them!

ultramike - 2007-01-05 4:35 AM Week 2 weigh-in on Monday January 8th?

Yep sure is, I'll put the post up on Sunday night - which will probably be before some of you guys get to Sunday as I'm in NZ - but just post it into the thread when it hits your Monday morning/night whenever you weigh in

OK, I'll give this a go.

I've had weight issues for years. I maxed out at 245 last year before I came to my senses. I've been bewtween 215 and 220 for about a year. I've done two half marathons, a Sprint, a Du and many 5 & 10 k events in that year.

Current weight: 218lbs
Current Height: 10 in
Current W(aste)aist: 37
Current gender: m
Current age: 40

The BMI absurd and impractical index says I should be 165 lbs. (he laughs a maniacal laugh)

My Goal for week two (i'm a late starter) is 215

My Goal weight is 190 by July 1st
My Goal waist size is 35
My Goal age is 41
Everything else should stay the same.

I'm hoping to not think as many heavy thoughts, so that should drop at least a few pounds.

I'd like to be in on this too . Modest goals to start with since I don't know if/how much I'm going to lose

Start weight: 205 lbs (ouch!)

Target weight (by Jan-end) : 195 lbs (hoping the initial water weight will get me there without me losing too much muscle )

Target weight (by Apr-end) : 180 lbs (and keep it off)

BF%: not sure for now

My sordid Bkgnd : I used to be a solid 225 lbs in jan 05 , but after serious portion control (and with the help of my wife's WW) , I dropped to 185 lbs in Fall 05 . Along the way , I did a Half-mary and my first triathlon - a semi-Oly . and then comes the fun ... my wife had our first baby and while I tried to control the inevitable slip this last year , with stress on bike rides and also swimming a bit , in the last qrtr of the year , I slipped way off Hence , the ugly bulge around my waist that I have to do something about .

Hi everybody!

My story:  I lost 40 lbs last year, and started an exciting tri training after 4 or 5 years of being afraid to run up stairs for fear of a heart attack.  Then I decided to go back to school after 10 years of working.  I assumed that I would keep working out and skidded right into the Dairy Queen drive through.  15 lbs. later I am still in school and coming back to the tri training with my hat in hand.  I swore I wouldn't go back over 220 and I failed...i am at 233 and feeling fat and lazy.  I have signed up for a sprint in May and am totally on board for this goal.  I would appreciate being on anyone's list to be hounded into working out, though.  I can foresee many nights where it is late and I am just tired from all the studying.   It would help to know there are others watching and "caring".   lol  Anyway, good luck in your goals and I now know that logging your workouts and eating is the answer to my probs.

Start weight: 233

weight goal for month: 225

Hey, I'm here for you. I peaked at 245 before I got my rear in gear.
I'm still heavy (I really am big boned!) but I'm also really, really active.
At my job, I have a lot of late nights where I'm "on" (ready for questions or interviews or other such nonsense. believe me, nothing gives me more energy than finding some time during the day (usually in the morning) for a run or swim or ride.

Keep it up. But don't stress about the weight. Just focus on the training and the rest will follow.

I hope it's not too late to join in. I need some motivation in this area and hope that posting my weight for the world to see will keep me motivated. I'm a 5'5" female 29 yo

start weight: 163.8
weight goal for month: 158.0
Todays weight: 163.8

my goals for week are to really minimize the boredom eating.
