I dont know who was singing the one I was listening to it was some internet radio classical station an old opera singer. I guess my favorite version is Bocelli. Apologize to the purist if Bocelli is too mainstream.

Pbbbbbbttttt! :-P I'm no purist. I only know the song(s) well because a) I'm Catholic (well, a jack Catholic... or does that only work for Mormons? Well, you get my point.) and b) I've been in choirs since I was old enough to hold a note.

Chris Cornell (previous lead singer of Soundgarden, now frontman of Audioslave) does a pretty amazing version of this song on "A Very Special Christmas 3" -- I think it
is 3 anyway. Defintely worth checking out.

All right I downloaded the Cornell version (legally of course) it is pretty good unique definitley.  Little christams compilationy with the horns...but still good. 

Not just triathletes but musicians too! What a plethora of  talent we have on BT.  Much to my dismay I have none :*(

I would definetely say that is a talent. I used to play the sax (alto, tenor, and barry). Now I just have an acoustic guitar that is collecting dust. I hope someday I at least attempt to play the thing, lol.
