halp, halp

Terrified newcomer seeks like-minded souls in Eugene....must be slow, or at least patient with my ridiculously stupid questions.

Is there a support group for newcomers in Eugene, sorta like Eugene Running Co's beginner marathon training runs?

Is it terribly dorky to appear on this website the first week of January (you know, when all the resolutionists emerge...)?

FWIW, female age 44, can't swim (learning), too lazy to bike. Foot injury, so -- uh, can't run, either.

More questions later. I don't want to irritate anyone in my first post.

Also a triathlon newbie... Not, from Eugene (I'm from Coos Bay) and I couldn't tell you about Eugene clubs, but I would suggest using all of the other great resources on this website. I've only been lurking around here for about 2 weeks now, but have learned a lot about triathlons, siwimming and all of it by reading what is on here.

Good Luck

Thanks -- appreciate it. This website is a treasure trove. As for Eugene, I'm going to have to take matters in my own hands -- this town has enough injured runners to field scores of beginning tri groups...

Not all of us are injured; we just walk funny.
