Howdy! Been browsing the site for the last week thought I'd say "Hi". I was a competitive Oly age-grouper back in 91-93 but then I moved (Military, so I move frequently) and my wife and I decided to start a family. Three children, 5 moves, and 10 years later I decided to start swimming again because I had dislocated my shoulder and had a protruding disc from playing ice hockey this past winter (another awesome sport). Anyway, it has come back pretty quick and my shoulder feels better than ever. The military had kept me in good shape plus I am an obsessive workout addict. I've been temporarily stationed in Ft Walton Beach Florida for the past 6 weeks so the workouts have been great and the weather pretty cooperative. I am moving to Shreveport, LA in about two weeks. I have never been stationed in the south and the thing I think I am going to like is the year round training outside! Sure beats running in 15 deg weather in Montana, or cycling in snow flurries in Colorado! Cheers and see you out on the course.

Welcome TJ!  Hey, don't you like cycling in the snow in CO?  Sure makes for an interesting ride.  Seriously, good luck in your training!

Welcome to the board and you will find that Shreveport has a great active Tri Club the Sunrise Tri Club.  For more information on their club, you can contact Sports Spectrum in Shreveport and they can hook you up with the locals.
