Heart of St. Paul 5K

Is this the same as the Frozen 5k later this month? I think it's on 1/27?

The Heart of St. Paul runs are different than the Winter Carnival (Securian) runs.  The St. Paul runs are on Sunday, Feb 11th.  I'll be running the Securian half, but not the St. Paul.  They'll BOTH be COLD, though!  Have fun and welcome to the site!

BTW, we're trying to get some training groups all lined up once 'spring' starts to roll around.  We have a lot of BT members west of Minneapolis (Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, Maple Grove, etc.).  Nothing has really firmed up yet, but keep it on your radar (http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=63861&posts=17&start=1).

I work out occassionally at the Burnsville Y and Southdale Y.  Haven't tried the Y in Minneapolis yet, but am willing to give it a try if there's other BT folks there...

You are a glutton for punishment!   My next outdoor race isn't until Get in Gear (April 28th).

Good luck, though.  Cold weather bragging rights seem to be a great motivator for you.
