Hi to all!

My name is Charlie (though I'm a female). I currently live in southern Utah(moved here two years ago, kicking and screaming the whole way), originally from Colorado. So this is my biggest and boldest aspiration to date for sure. I know that I have a LONG way to go before I could dream of completing even a sprint triathlon, but having this goal fills me up like no other goal I've set for myself. It feels as if there's no longer just a weight loss goal, or a distance goal, or a goal that I can't imagine doing in my head, but rather something real and exciting. I have already started doing my own training by running 4-5 times a week in the morning before getting ready for work. Next step... working some cycling into the routine and eventually some swimming. It's great to know there are communities out there like this one and I can't wait to get involved.

Thank you for the warm welcome! Can't wait to get into the real meat of training, for now I'm just taking it a day at a time, ok so maybe one step at a time. It's a start anyway.

Hi Charlie, and welcome to the site! You're a good example for me, since I can never pull myself out of bed in the mornings, as much as I try. Best of luck with your training!
