Subject: Open water swimming in Utica, NY area?
I have a business trip to Rome next week and I was wondering if there are any good places there to swim, I know there's a lot more water there than in Colorado...

i'm in new york right now and will check around for you. i went to school in syracuse and there are some places to swim out there, but that's about an hour away. i'll ask around and let you know.

ps. i'm becoming your personal assistant while you're away on business. i don't know where to get tri shorts in central new york, so don't ask!

Ha ha, maybe one of these days we will run into eachother... I got the shorts, so I am good to go, I want to try out my wetsuit in some open water, I suppose it's almost as hard to find open water in CO as in Vegas...

You might want to give Sylvan Beach a try, it's on the shore of Oneida Lake, it's probably about 20-25 miles west from Rome. I grew up in Syracuse, and spent some time there as a kid, but I haven't been there in many years though.
