hi-
new here, have mt bike (which i've used almost exclusively in town) & just sold car ... just thought i'd introduce myself - i'm training for road sprints but also want to start doing mt biking with a longer-term goal of getting into off-road racing, since i've been trail running forever and love it. i want to do the clackamas duathlon this year too. 41yo male into music & mixed martial arts. my skill level - trail specific is very green but have practically lived on bikes for a good proportion of my life so this should come fast. fitness level good.

open to paying for gas on mt biking trips this spring-summer & comparing notes with local athletes in general.

Speaking of off road events!

I found the Dirty Du Duathlon up at Hagg Lake. It's on April 1st. I was thinking about giving this a try. Has anyone else in Oregon done it? How is it?

July 21 in Estacada which also has a paddling segment as well as the duath. have never done it, these'll be my first races
