Subject: The Super Bowl, ain't so super

I've seen them all except for 3 and this is the most lame Super Bowl I've experienced. The game is OK but the commercials suck. And Prince, please, where they'd dig his 80's, has been azz, up at. He's got to be the only guy in the world that Michael Jackson could punk.

At this point I'm thinkin' Spike TV or VS may need to start doing the Super Bowl. He!! I'd settle for Bob Roll doing the play by play. I mean Lifetime or Sundance could do as well as CBS to this point.

But it's halftime, maybe they will be strong in the second half.

Oh well, the beer is cold, the brats and italian sausage is hot, and it is the Super Bowl.

Anybody got an old Kona video I could borrow?

I thought the commercials were very lame. The game is boring, it is all Colts. What fun is that?

spokes - 2007-02-04 8:51 PM Precisely why I don't watch the Superbore anymore. Pro football = overtly long season, overpaid and spoiled athletes + lame entertainment. Isn't Prince eligble for AARP?

No, he's only 48. But I had no idea that he could play the guitar! OK, spokes, I know you're a guitar junkie, but seriously, he's better than 99% of the front men out there...

EDIT:  I'm speaking strictly guitar playing skillz, not personality or entertainment.  LOL

This Superbowl was lame. They used commercials that are already on TV; and Prince, com'on! This guy hasn't done anything in over a decade, and he is suppose to entertain the most watched television show of all time. I would have rather watched William Hung singing "She Bangs".

I loved the Superbowl when I watched it two weeks ago.  Colts-Patriots was supuerb.  a Superbowl for the ages.  Bears who?

The Bears should sign Garcia by the way.  I don't care how long you've been on the sideline, you need to take the snap!

De Cracker -

I've seen them all except for 3...

You mean you've missed three super bowls, or Super Bowl III?

Super Bowl III... amazing... I think it's the single most important game in NFL history.  N.Y. Jets 16, Indianapolis Baltimore Colts 7...

Johnny Unitas vs. Broadway Willie Joe Namath...

It got all us kids to put down our baseball gloves and pick up a football...

I think you are referring to major league baseball.

I actually thought it was more enjoyable this year.. I can think of a few years recently where not much was going on, no scoring, etc for the first half. At least things were happening this year. Some commercials were good. I was expecting them to be less than they were though considering the economy and what it costs to advertise on the superbowl
