Subject: Tri bike size vs road bike
I have a quick question: I have been riding a Raleigh Grand Prix for 2 yrs that I've souped with aerobars. I won a contest with my company and I am able to redeem points to get certain items and I am currently looking to redeem them and upgrade to a TrekEquinox 7 tri specific bike. My question is what size do I need to order? I ride a 54cm on the Raleigh and I wonder if a 54 would work for the Trek or if I should go with a 52 due to the type of bike. I have to order the Trek so I need to know size ahead of time. Any help?

I have a 51 cm tri bike and a 52cm road bike. My hubby has a 56 cm tri bike and a 58cm road bike. In our family at least, we go down a size to fit comfortable on a tri-specific bike. Is there any way you could test a Trek before ordering it? I tested a 54cm tri bike. That's when I discovered I need a 51.

Thanks for the reply. Testing one out is the goal. 2 of the 3 bike shops in the area don't carry the Equinox 7. Figures. I still have some time before I have to order so I will test one out if possible. Thanks.
