open water swim in utica, ny

aphoric, i lost the thread that you posted...

i looked around and there is a place called delta lake state park just north of utica. cayuga, onondaga, oswego and oneida lakes are also in the area, but i'm not sure how far. there's also the finger lakes, but that's kind of a hike. new york has tons of small lakes that don't even show up on maps, so if you asked around you might be able to get the skinny on some swimmin' holes. we upstate new yorkers are nice people and i'm sure someone will help you out!! good luck and i'll keep checking.
