5 weeks baby!!!!  Im getting really excited.  I had a 20 miler on Sat that I paced out at 6:50.  Now, if I can only keep that going for 6.2 more miles....

Another 22 on tap for this weekend!

The official jackets are up for sale as well. $90.

Ordered mine yesterday.  A little premature I know, but I wanted not to have to try and remember to get one on race weekend.

I'm supposed to be staying with Immyfish in New Hampshire, but he hasn't been on BT in awhile.  He's also running and his wife was going to bring us down on race day.  I've got to follow up with him as I haven't heard from him for a while.

4 weeks out as of today!

Ok people; the race is getting close and there aren't any solid plans yet!

If you guys want to do the carbo load dinner we could have it close to the finish line since many will stay at the Sheraton and someone else mentioned to choose a place near a T station. There is a very nice Italian place (and not too expensive) called paparazzi (http://www.backbayrestaurantgroup.com/paparazzi/1.html) located on Dartmouth street right next to Copley T station (half a block from the finish line) and like 3 blocks away from the Sheraton. Another option (cheaper and more food) is Vinny T (http://www.vinnytsofboston.com/about/) which is located on Boylston street like 1 block away from the finish line/Copley T station and like 1-2 blocks from the Sheraton (near Fairfield street). If you guys don't want Italian/pasta there are a lot of other options... I'll be around for sure (I’ll be riding the marathon course out and back early AM on race day ) so if you want to meet I can make the reservation a week before the race to secure a table.

Any italian/pasta buffets?  Or atleast someplace with a good size "Brick of Lasagna"  (aka the best pre-race food ever).

In either case, I would be in for a nice BT group carb-loading!

I hope everyone's training is going well...I have my last long run this weekend, and then it's taper time!

Sorry I'm late to the POSTING here...
I'd love to see some BT'ers at the race! Maybe I'll get a BT shirt to be easily recognized. Good idea? Going with a bud/sherpa and my dad, so if the place is big enough to fit all the runners and their sherpa's I'd love to see y'all. I'm easy. Any pasta, anywhere.
My Race: Not so focused on a time for this one....training enough to finish strong, but I'm ramping up the triathlon training already, so the overall running distance has suffered. Oh, and it's my first Boston as well. 11th marathon.

Either sounds good Jorge.  I'll throw my vote in for Vinny T's since it sounds like a good place (cheap and lots is always good).  Sunday evening birthday party for me ...... I mean pre-race dinner!

Last 20 was today.  Taper town!!!

Hey, bibs are up on the BAA site!  Just put in your name and such and the number will come up.  The first number(s) is your corral.  So I'm in the 5th one.

I'm hoping to be at the start again this year, taking pictures and just hanging out as usual.  Last year I couldn't find anyone, it's simply a monumental zoo.  My plan this year is to tie a balloon to me and let it float above the height of the crowd so I'll be easier to spot.  I'd like to get some pictures of the BT-ers who are racing.  More details as race day gets close, but keep it in mind!

These are the two most useful links I found in the runnersworld formus:

http://www.csurun.org/maps/BAA/

This is a detailed layout of the course elevation in 5 mile increments.

http://www.box.net/public/75o3rqgty9

And this link will get you to an excel file download of General boston information and pacing based on your goal time, elevation of the course, and how you want to run the course (even effort vs. even pace).  Very cool stuff!

Yeah, I came across those too.  Those elevation maps are a lot better than the on one BAA's site.

I'm a local, not a crazy flying-in-from-everywhere runner, so I'll be there to cheer.

I have seen the race from miles 17-18 in newton (L side of course), miles 22-23 in brookline (R side of course), but never at fenway park or at Copley/the finish line.  Once I figure out where I'll be I'll post it here and tally a list of BT'ers to look out for.  I know only a few local guys/gals by sight, but maybe us non-Boston runners can rally a spectator group?

Also, on the Friday before Marathon Monday, my tri club does a special event called Tri Night.  http://ww-ms.org/triNight.html  We won't have Peter Reid (again) this year  but there will be some kind of tri-celeb speaker, an awesome raffle to benefit the team and CycleKids, and lots of nice triathletes in attendance.  Click on the link or PM me for details.

Cheers, -Sunny

Sweet!  We look forward to as much support as we can get!

I confirmed my stay with Immyfish the other day and I plan on renting a car instead of having to stress him about driving me around, so I'm mobile for a get together and going to the Expo.  I'll be into Manchester, NH at around 9:30 Sunday the 15th and don't fly out until around 9-ish Monday night after the race, so I can also get together after for a bit.

2 weeks from today!!  Everyone should be in full taper mode now.

Got my packet last week.  Damn there is a lot of stuff you can buy.   I already got the official jacket though, so I'm not getting anything else really "big."  Maybe some stuff for the kids at the Expo.

Speaking of kids, my oldest son's soccer coach will be running her 3rd one this year.  She said the course isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. ;-P

The weather report today is looking a little better.  Accuweather.com says high/low of 52/42F and cloudy "most of the time".  Although its looking like we will have 15+ mph winds from NW.  Im sure this will change 7 more times over the next 7 days though
