Subject: What type of earphones are good for running??

Everytime I find a pair that I like, the company seems to discontinue it.  Right now I have the Sony Earclips (wrap around), I really don't like these though.  What all are you runners using out there??  I need the make and type so I can look up.

Thanks a lot.........

I use these by Sony. Comfortable, stay in place, <$10 at WalMart.

I buy these in bulk online. Not the best quality, but at $7.99/pair they work just fine.

Jensen JHB-105

Edited to say:  I buy them in bulk so the shipping cost isn't as big an issue, and they have in-line volume control, which I've come to appreciate.

Others have recommended these, same style as the Sonys but (alledgedly) better sound. $30 at amazon:

I use the Smokin Buds by Skull Candy.

I've never had a problem with them.  One side note:  they are GREAT at eliminating ambient noise.  This is great for every day headphones but I'm not quite sure if that is such a good thing when you are running because it could easily dampen other people's voices or maybe car horns.  I put these on at work when I want to tune every body else out.  =)

I think something is wrong with my ears.  I see all these runners out there with fancy shmancy ear pieces.  I use the cheapo ones that came with my mp3 player.  Then never fall out and they sound good to me.

I got a pair of "marshmallow" ear plugs from JVC (I think) at Best Buy. They are the bomb...not great sound quality, but hey, they are only like $20.

I've gone through some trouble trying to get something that works.  I must have gone through 12 different kinds, cheap and expensive alike.  I even did research on the stupid things.  I still have yet to find the "perfect" head phone but, I use a wrap around model made by sony, similar to what is posted, but with a different around the ear thing.  My ears are just so dang small!  They're smaller then my girlfriends, who's only 5 foot tall.  Plus, I really wanted them to sound decent, not audiophile, but decent.

I recommend these for on ear stay ability and sound quality:

I use the Sennheiser Twist-To-Fit; they stay put and sound great. Had some of the Sony sports too, but prefer these

I use Ultimate Ears Studio 3. They are about $60 online. A little much just for running but great all around sound. When I run I do not put them in all the way as they block out just about everything - I want to hear some things, like other runners, cyclists, cars. etc.

These are the only ones I use anymore. I have a really hard time finding headphones that fit in my ear - I run with them all the time and absolutely love them.

One thing I will say, as I've mentioned I had a pari about 2 years ago and when they broke that's when I found out they didn't make them anymore.  So my advice is that when u find a pair you like, head back to the store and buy about 4 more packs.

For me, I can only wear the wrap around the ear kind.  My ears are just goofy I guess.  Plain buds just fall out.  I guess I'm just gonna keep trying them all and the next time I find a pair, I'm gonna buy about  a 3 year supply
