I learned this in an aerobics class long ago, and the rhythm works well for running, cycling up hills and other painful activities. In essence, I completely lie to myself.........it goes like this:  

 I LIKE IT!

I LOVE IT!

I WANT MORE OF IT!

Somehow, I convince myself that this is true!

We used to do that one in the army to but at the end we would have to say, Make it hurt drill seargant make it hurt.

I used this one with "Make Hurt Drill Sergeant Make it Hurt." It was incredible. I ran 20 minutes, the longest I've ever run at altitude. It was really great. I didn't focus so much on my time as I did on my breathing. I felt Like I could run forever. Thanks guys.
