Subject: FS: Trek Equinox 9 56cm Tri Bike
I’m selling my 56cm Trek Equinox 9 tri/TT bike. The bike is a 2005 model with some newer parts and was purchased new in January, 2006. Total mileage is approx. 2000 road miles plus another 1000 (approx). trainer miles.

There are some newer parts on this bike:

1. Frame was replaced with a new frame under warranty in late June, so it has only approx. 1500 total miles on it.

2. Cassette also has about 1500 miles.

3. Chain is a SRAM bought new in October, very low miles

4. Saddle has only about 100 miles on it. I can swap this one out with a brand new Cervelo Selle Italia Tri saddle if you want.

5. The wheels and tires are brand new—never ridden.

Complete specs are as follows:

FRAMESET SIZE 56
FRAME Aluminum
FORK Bontrager Aero TT Carbon
WHEELS Easton Vista
TIRES Vittoria Diamante Pro Lite
SHIFTERS Shimano Dura-Ace bar end
FRONT DERAILLEUR Shimano Ultegra
REAR DERAILLEUR Shimano Dura-Ace
CRANKSET Bontrager/FSA 53/39
CASSETTE SRAM 970 12-26, 9 speed
PEDALS N/A
SADDLE San Marco Azoto Tri
SEATPOST Bontrager TT w/adjustable seat angle
HANDLEBARS Bontrager Race, bullhorn
STEM Bontrager Race
HEADSET Cane Creek
BRAKESET Shimano 105 w/Cane Creek 200TT levers
AEROBARS Profile Carbon Stryke Ironman -- A bracket for the Profile Aerodrink bottle is installed on the bars.

Bike is in very good condition—never crashed and no major scratches.

I paid around $2000 for the original bike, I’m asking $1300. Shipping is $75 or actual cost (whichever is less) to have my LBS pack & ship within the continental U.S. (Milwaukee area buyers can meet to pick up and save the shipping charge).

Price without the wheelset is $1100 plus shipping.

Here's a link to a few pics of the bike:

I would be interested but I think it is a tad too big for me. My road bike is 54cm. I'm 5'8".

The bike is probably a bit big for you. I'm 6'0" with an inseam right around 33." I'm guessing the bike would fit best between 5'10" and maybe up to 6'2". Those are just guesses, though.

The 2005 and 2006 frames on both the E7 and E9 are identical to the one I'm selling--so if you know anyone with one of those bikes, you can check the sizing.

Consider this a free bump.

That is a great deal- too bad I don't have th $$$!  It's the perfect size and everything.  {{sigh}}.

Good luck- I'm sure someone will want it!
