I was wondering if it would be better to book a post race massage the next day in the vicinity of the race site or just wait til I get home a few days later.

I have done both. IMO, it doesn't matter, you will be limping around for a day two no matter when you get your massage.

Heh...I'm with Tom on this one.  After IMCDA, I was dumb enough to schedule a flight home from Spokane, Wa to Brownsville, Texas two days post-IM.  That's 14 hours of cramped planes and airports...by the time my plane landed in Brownsville, I couldn't stand up under my own power...he he he.
