Subject: Stadler's Rear Derailleur
Looking at the picture of Satler in Kuota's ad at the front of the March issue of Triathlete, the lower cog on his rear derailleur is HUGE!  Anybody know what it is and what the advantage of this would be?

Supposedly, it's a custom made piece from Germany.  Ulrich used one a few years ago as well.  The theory is that the larger pulley spins slower and also reduces chain flex, both of which could help conserve power in the drivetrain.  I heard Norman attributes 3 watts of savings to it.
