Subject: Newbie Hello,
In addition to being a husband, father (of 4 ), full time student, and part time worker....I've been trying to loose weight for the past year or so. I had ballooned up to 247 over the past 6 years. However, after a month or two in the gym with weights and cardio (sometimes only one or the other ) I usually get tired of doing the same thing week after week. Then I start packing on the pounds again because I'm no longer exercising. Although I was down 20 pounds earlier this year, I'm back up 10.
So, one day while playing around online I came across a website for triathletes and thought hmm looks kinda neat, almost fun even (lots of variety = less bordom ). After a week or so of lurking around on various websites I came across this site and it's training programs. They looked so doable that I decided I was going to "JUST DO IT." I officially started today with the balanced couch to sprint program. I plan on building a base between now and February and then train specifically for a race in April/May. |
