Just curious - why not a Desoto 2 piece if you are having a hard time finding a 1 piece that fits?

That is what I was thinking problem is if it is correct in the chest it is still off by 7" in the waist. The thickest they have in the top is 3mm and I was looking for 5mm as long as I was going with a long sleeve

I may give them a try though thanks.

I tried that one, my waist is 7 - 8" smaller with the same size chest so it is quite baggy and lets alot of water in.

Thanks

E-mail or call Emilio at Desoto.  It is one of the only companies where I've personally talked with the owner and he was willing to spend time on the phone with me to answer all my questions.

They will almost definitely have something that would work for you.

Funny you should say that. I actually called twice last week and was told he was too busy to help me with sizing a suit. I left a number and got no call back which suprised me as I had heard so many good things. That wont stop me from buying from them though.

I feel a little guilty I have been singing the praises of Promotion for so long and now they don't return emails and was told repeatedly that the people who do the sizing are not there. Now no one even answers the phone and it is business hours in their time zone.

Hhhhhuuuummmm... do any tri wetsuits come in 5mm?

I would call the people at www.trisports.com. They sell Desoto, and other brands and have many great closeout deals. They are very helpful!

Am talking to Desoto,

They are suggesting they send me 2 size tops and 2 size bottoms, try them all and send back the ones that don't fit.

WOW that is some REALLY great customer service.

Thanks to Desoto!

Bibjohns are 2mm on the top half and a vest or top is 3mm where it overlaps the bibjohn = 5mm total. Other parts are 5mm so the net effect is a 5mm wesuit but in two pieces.

By the way, I love mine.

Weird is EXACTLY right. I don't know if you saw it or not I actually have 2 other wetsuits from them. One approx 7 - 8 years old and the other 18 years old.

You can check my posts here in the past week and on other forums time and time again I sing their praises telling people to go to Promotion.
Customer support has always been great now not so much.

2 unanswered emails after a week. Calling 3 times in one day only to be told that the people who can help me with sizing are not there and to call later.

Then calling for 3 hours when they SHOULD be open and having no one answer. Calling again over the course of 3 hours and it is busy.

I of ALL people understand having an ebusiness is tough and things go wrong, as I own three of them. But come on enough is enough sometimes even I lose my patience with mistake after mistake.

So now Desoto gets my try but it hasn't started off too good with them.

2 phone calls last week asking to speak with the owner, as this is what was said to do on a forum. I am told that he is too busy, to leave a phone number and he will call back. No return calls a week later.

I figure no biggie I will try again. I call give my info order my suit. I remember something I call back and am told there is no such order. Am questioned repeatedly if I really did place and order lol

She sounds like she thinks I am batty because it is not in her computer so it does not exist.

I say but there are only two of you who take orders correct? Yes. May I speak to the other person. No because if they took your order it would be in the computer. I ask to speak to ANYONE else. Am put on hold. By mistake someone picks up the phone to make a call( I have a hunch it is the owners wife) She says hello ?? ???

I say I am on hold, she apologizes for not looking to see that that line was on hold. She asks who I am holding for I tell her the situation, she says NO there are more than 2 people who take orders lol

They put me through to the original person she says nonchallantly yes your order is here. sheshhhh I am thinking go to LBS

Wierd. I had great customer service from Promotion.

If you decide to go with a one-piece wetsuit I would recommend 2XU. Their clothing and their wetsuits are great and their sizing range is very good. They have an XL and an XXL in men's. Just looking at your measurements you would probably fit in an XL. They have 3 different levels of wetsuits that range in price Elite (msrp $499.00) Comp 1 (389.00) Comp 2 (279.00). If you have any questions let me know. Also, Emilio is great - they are in the middle of getting all the new '07 merchandise out all of us so we can sell it so I know it's pretty crazy there.

I just bought a Promotion sleevless fluid drive. XLS (extra large short)
I'm about 5'11"
200lb
46 chest
35 waist.
Thighs about 24.
I was suprised it fit as well as it did because I have trouble finding cycling and tri jerseys and tops that fit.
You probably need the XXLS. Email Promotion and see what they say, or better yet call them.
The web site says the XXLS fits a person 200 - 220lb, chest 46-48, height 5'10" - 6'2".
My suit cost $153 with the BT 15% discount.
