PLEASE! I need to run tonight, but keep mentally trying to juggle my schedule so that today is an off day. But I will absolutely need a break on Monday after 9hrs combined Sat/Sun. So I have no excuse, other than "i don't wanna..."

If nothing else, do it for those of us who want to be running, but can't.

TYLER YOU WUS!!!!  GET OFF YOUR LAZY ARSE AND HIT THE PAVEMENT.  YOUR WHINING SICKENS ME SO THAT I WANT TO PUKE.  AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A DEDICATED ATHLETE?  WHERE'S THE FIRE?  WHERE'S THE DESIRE TO EXCEED?  WHERE'S THE IRON WILL THAT HAS PROPELLED YOU THIS FAR?  IF TRAINING WAS ONLY FOR WHEN WE FELT LIKE IT, EVERYONE WOULD BE CALLED TRIATHLETE.  NOW QUIT BI*CHIN AND LACE EM UP YOU SLACKER!!!!

FOR GOD'S SAKE MAN, READ YOUR OWN SIG LINE!!

(how was that?)

Hey, we all have days when we don't want to train but we usually get out there and get it done anyway.

I might suggest digging into a few blogs of some of the other peeps here on BT who are posting some good consistent workouts and see that it is not always easy for most.

Better to be an example than a statistic

Thanks Mac - guess I should've considered my own sig line before whining to everybody.

It's just these constant, long, hard pre-IMAZ workouts. It's starting to get to me, to the point where I kind of dread the weekends. Right now I'm blocking out the 9hrs I have on tap for tomorrow/Sunday. Just keep telling myself 3 more weeks till taper, 3 more weeks till taper, 3 more weeks till taper...

But I shall perservere. I guess this is one of the two times to train. Mainly the latter.

Focus on the excitement of the IM and all the people you are going to pass on the way to the finish line.

KenyonTRi,
I'm 6 weeks 2 days away from IM AZ too. I seriously am dreading this weekend as well. A 100 mi ride tomorrow, a 65 mi ride Sat (recovery) w/ run. It's so mentally tough right now, but keep your eye on the prize! We're almost there.....to the completion of the most incredible personal journey of our lives. It will be worth it when you're running in, with the crowds, the cheering.....Imagine that finish line!

I'm with you in spirit, as I'll be out there toughing it out Sat and Sunday alone!

Best of luck! 3 more hard weeks!
